Photovoltaic shading systems Pierre LEBRETON 27 October 2023

Install photovoltaic shading on your car park

Make the most of the space available in your car parks by installing photovoltaic shading systems to protect the vehicles of your employees and users. With this solution, you can generate low-carbon electricity for your own consumption and reduce your energy bills.

  • Use the electricity generated
  • Protect vehicles from the elements
  • Comply with the new ENR law of 10 March 2023

Why install photovoltaic shading systems

The usable surface area of a car park offers major potential for the production of renewable energy. The installation of photovoltaic shading systems provides vehicles with appropriate protection against the vagaries of the weather, while producing low-carbon electricity.

We take care of design, construction and commissioning. We can offer you a third-party financing solution as an option, so that you don’t have to finance the project. We can lease a car park to you under a long-term construction lease (30 years on average) and build one or more photovoltaic shading systems.

Depending on the characteristics of the project (location, nature of the work, etc.), we take charge of all or part of the construction of the shading systems and, in all cases, all of the photovoltaic generators ensuring that they are watertight.

For schools, company car parks, sports centres, hotels and hospitals, shade provides effective protection for vehicles against bad weather and UV rays.

Shade covers come in a wide range of sizes and colours to meet every need and provide shelter for cars, motorhomes or motorbikes. Shade covers come in a wide range of designs and colours, so you’re sure to find the one that’s right for you.

Since 1 July 2023 and the promulgation of the French law of 10 March 2023 on accelerating the production of renewable energy, owners of outdoor car parks with a surface area of more than 1,500m² must have been obliged to equip their car parks with a renewable energy production system covering at least 50% of their surface area.

Your benefits

Reduce your energy bill through self-consumption
01

Consume the electricity produced by the photovoltaic shades and sell the surplus.

Power charging points for electric vehicles
02

Meet the expectations of your users and the challenges of sustainable mobility.

Protect your users' vehicles from bad weather
03

A shade canopy provides effective protection from the elements and heat in summer.

Enhance your organisation's image
04

Reinforce your organisation’s image in terms of eco-responsibility.

What are the requirements?

01

The minimum surface area of your car park must be 350m².

02

You have the history of the site or a soil survey to assess the feasibility of the project
